It took a little getting used to as the controls are very sensitive but once you figure it out, the drone is easy to fly, offers half an hour of flight time and records at a very decent quality. Other drones are available of course. To access the onboard footage you will need to use a USB-C cable to download it to a device.
The fastest way to access the microSD card is to remove it and use a card reader. The DJI drone comes with the DJI GO 4 app which installs onto a device and allows you to view the footage during flight or afterwards depending on your drone model.
You can use it to download footage too. If you save your footage to microSD card instead, it is much easier to take the card out, place it into a card reader and download the video from there. Whether you use Windows or Mac, the card will show up as a disk and be accessible as your internal hard drive. You can cut or copy the footage from the card onto your computer and edit from there. I download. But now. How read or upload them to a reader?
I found tools for Mavic Pro, but nothing for Air. Any solution? Thanks Twitter Facebook Favorite Like. Use props. BudWalker Offline. The only solution I know of is to use CsvView on the tablet's. The MavicAir's. Check out our YouTube Channel for more videos! Subscribe to get updates when we post new videos! In the DJI GO 4 app, turn on the drone and press the play button in the bottom right hand side of the screen to view all of the photos and videos on your SD card and internal storage.
I didn't have my app running for this screen shot, but you will have to have your Mavic Air on to connect and transfer your photos to your device. The USB-C port is under the door on the back of the drone between the propellers.
Using a computer and SD card reader is my preferred way to transfer and edit my photos and videos. On a mac , you'll be able to click on the SD card from your desktop or use Image Capture my personal favorite as every mac comes with this and makes asset management from your cards a little easier. On windows , the disk will show up in your list of disks in My Computer. From here you can drag the photos and videos to a folder on your computer or you can open your favorite photo editing app and edit them like any other photos from a digital camera.
Hope this helped you guys! I know transferring footage and video from the Mavic Air can be an obvious but confusing part of the process for the first time and accessing the 8GB of onboard storage can be confusing since the USB-C port is hidden away under a door.
Which is a good thing to keep the dust out of it while in use!
